As a volunteer team leader with Habitat for Humanity International, Global Village, Jenn has organized a team of 12 people from around North America to spend a week building homes in Nicaragua this coming March. We will be working side by side with these families who also spend over 500 “sweat equity” hours working on their own homes.Through this pilot program we are trying to raise $50,000 to eventually build 100 homes in San Rafael del Sur, Nicaragua. Families in this village currently live on $1 – $2 per day and cannot afford to improve their own housing situations. My personal goal is to raise $3500 — the amount needed to sponsor one home. Raffle tickets will be on sale to win awesome door prizes from local artists and restaurants! Come out to enjoy a night of great music, friends and the spirit of generosity to improve the lives of those in need! ALL PROCEEDS from the evening will be donated to this very poor community to buy building materials and sponsor much more than just one home.
